Paula Champagne and Betsy McCarthy, a two-person exhibition at the Multnomah Arts Center Gallery
The new exhibition at the Multnomah Arts Center gallery brings together local artists Paula Champagne and Betsy McCarthy. The show will be on display October 25 – November 30, 2024 with a reception on Thursday, November 7 from 6-8 p.m.
Paula Champagne is a visual storyteller specializing in film, documentary photography, illustration, and graphic design. Inspired by her own experiences, her current body of work seeks to “explore and honor the healing intersection of Blackness, nature and rest.”
Betsy McCarthy has been working as a sculptor for over fifteen years and is a longtime resident of Portland. Her creative process begins with a nature-inspired design which she then creates out of welded steel, found objects and fused glass.
This exhibition and the related events are free and open to the public. The gallery is open Monday – Thursday 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., and Friday – Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. To learn more about programming at the Multnomah Arts Center, sign up for its newsletter here or call 503-823-2787.
