In large-scale installations, Sung Eun Park explores the idea of a “good death.” Park juxtaposes objects — crossing geese, a suspended car, a projected painting – to create surreal theater-set-like works. The assemblages hint at a story interrupted –or one yet to finish or begin. The pieces invite the viewer to participate in completing the story, to contemplate their own departure.
Poetry write-in from 2-4 pm precedes the opening! Loose prompts provided. We’ll collect submissions of work written in response to the show and gather it into a catalog to accompany the exhibition
