Helen’s Costume is pleased to present our first exhibition of 2025. Nut Job features work by Morgan Ritter, Maggie Chen and Katya Kirilloff. Artist/Poet Morgan Ritter is forever moving through mediums. Nut Job focuses on her empathic drawing and painting, which incorporates found objects like decorative glass remnants and junk mail. Maggie Chen’s vibrant drawings center around the mascots of the Hot Kid brand of chips and snacks. She takes the pulse of the vitalistic consumer. Katya Kirilloff contributes work from her ongoing Can of Worms series. These drawings and paintings, rendered in a style reminiscent of 1970’s Wacky Package bubblegum trading cards, echo the writhing climate.
