LAURA BETH REESE
Blue Sky is pleased to announce 2024 Critical Mass Exhibition: #influenced by Laura Beth Reese
First Thursday Opening: Apr 3, 5 – 9 PM
In-Person Artist Talk: Sat, Apr 5, 3:30 PM
Laura Beth Reese’s #influenced explores the intersection of social media, celebrity culture, and consumerism by focusing on public figures like Paris Hilton and Kylie Jenner. Using handmade props and ready-made products, Reese created carefully constructed scenes that mirror the virtual world of social media. The resulting work reflects how pop cultural influences shape and distort our perceptions of fame, identity, and reality.
