This October, Waterstone Gallery is pleased to present Mesmerizing Blues by gallery artist Claudia Hollister. Claudia first utilized the historical cyanotype process during the stillness of the 2020 lockdown. She turned to documenting her garden through photography for peace and inspiration. Mesmerizing Blues reflects on the fleeting beauty of seasonal change, as buds bloom into blossoms that fade too soon. She creates luminous floral imagery from her garden that blurs the line between photography and printmaking. The collages and prints are distinguished by the vintage-modern lush tones of blues and timeless layered compositions that are unmistakably hers.

Waterstone, a contemporary artist-owned and operated gallery, is located in Portland’s Pearl District, home to a vibrant arts scene. For more than 30 years we have presented dynamic, thought-provoking, and beautifully crafted visual art by Oregon artists.

Artwork by our members can be found in many prestigious private, public, and corporate collections. We are always available to consult with collectors on-site or at the Gallery.
