Waterstone, a contemporary artist-owned and operated gallery, is located in Portland’s Pearl District, home to a vibrant arts scene. For more than 30 years we have presented dynamic, thought-provoking, and beautifully crafted visual art by Oregon artists.

Our roster of gallery artists includes sculptors, painters, and printmakers to name a few — all outstanding in their chosen mediums. They work with an exciting variety of materials including glass, stone, wood, copper, found metal, clay, and watercolor, acrylic, oil, and encaustic.

Whether driven by conceptual ideas or an exploration of materiality, Waterstone artists are interested in engaging and collaborating with their viewers.Waterstone’s mission to foster a lively dialogue between gallery artists and the larger community is fulfilled by our monthly programming of exhibitions, public art talks, and artist demonstrations. We continually reach out to engage a diverse audience and push ourselves to address a wide range of socially significant topics.

Artwork by our members can be found in many prestigious private, public, and corporate collections. We are always available to consult with collectors on-site or at the Gallery.
