What’s Different?

April 1 - May 1

Free
A smartphone hangs upside down by its charging cable, which is draped over the edge of a large, flat, rock-like pink object with rounded edges. The image on the screen of the phone is similar to the sculpture but in blue.

Opening Reception: Thursday, April 1st, 6-8pm

The image today has an elastic feature. Each new image appropriates its surroundings, directing the flow of emotion, resources, capital, and popular opinion in its wake. In What’s Different? eight WAVE Collective artists take on the uncertainty of life within a reality constructed by and for images.

Closing Conversation, Saturday, April 25, 2021, 4:00-5:00pm , online

Join us for an online closing conversation with WAVE artists, exploring the challenges of creating art individually and as a collective over the last year. In a casual format, the exhibiting artists will invite audience members to join the conversation to discuss the ideas presented in the work and create community between artist-run spaces.
