This symposium is organized in conjunction with an exhibition of Nancy Holt’s art at the Western Gallery at Western Washington University (WWU) and the publication of a new book on the artist. The goal of these three interlinked projects is to develop a deeper understanding Holt’s art by exploring it in context of her site-work at WWU, entitled Stone Enclosure: Rock Rings.
